Is there an AI search visibility agency in Switzerland?

Yes, several by now. Many Swiss SEO and digital agencies offer GEO as an add-on to SEO, usually for companies in every industry. Shortlisted in Zurich specialises in how AI assistants recommend consumer brands: so far skincare and cosmetics, watches and mattresses. We measure with real buyer questions in German and French and then implement the steps with you.

What does a generative engine optimization agency in Zurich do?

GEO stands for generative engine optimization: preparing a website, product data and sources so that AI systems find, understand and recommend a brand. At Shortlisted that means: measuring which brands ChatGPT, Google, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity name for buyer questions; finding the sources behind those answers; improving product pages, FAQs, product data, crawler access and presence in the most important sources; then measuring again.

What does AI visibility work cost at Shortlisted?

The first AI analysis is free: up to 40 buyer questions across five AI systems, as a PDF within 48 hours, with an optional 20-minute call. The audit costs CHF 1,490 and is fully credited against the fix sprint or ongoing support. The fix sprint, two weeks of implementation, costs CHF 2,900; ongoing support costs CHF 890 a month. Getting recommended

How do I get my brand recommended by ChatGPT?

ChatGPT names brands from two sources: what the model learned in training, and a web search during the answer. You have little short-term influence on the first, but you do on the second.

Five steps:

  1. Allow the OAI-SearchBot crawler in robots.txt and in your CDN. According to OpenAI, sites that block it do not appear in ChatGPT's search answers.
  2. Register the site in Bing Webmaster Tools, because as far as is known the Bing index feeds part of ChatGPT search.
  3. Build product pages so that price, features and answers to typical buyer questions are in the page source without JavaScript.
  4. Appear in the sources AI cites: comparison articles, tests, retailers and media, in German and French.
  5. Measure across many questions and runs, never with a single answer.

Nobody can guarantee it. More in the article How ChatGPT decides which brands to recommend (in German).

What is different in Switzerland?

The language of the question decides the sources. For a French question, ChatGPT relies on almost entirely different websites than for a German one. For Swiss brands, German and French pages, Swiss retailers and Swiss media therefore count. Of 60 Swiss online shops we checked in October 2026, 32 had no French version.

Measuring

Who measures whether ChatGPT recommends my brand?

There are two ways. Monitoring software such as Peec AI, Otterly.AI or Profound counts how often AI answers name a brand; the analysis and the fixes are up to you. Shortlisted measures for Swiss brands, with buyer questions in German and French, in ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity, shows who is named instead and from which sources, and implements the steps with you. The first analysis is free.

How do I find out whether ChatGPT recommends my cosmetics brand?

Test it yourself: ask five real buyer questions from your category, for example “Which Swiss face cream is good for sensitive skin?”, each three times in a new chat, and note which brands and sources are named.

Systematically: for skincare we measure 40 buyer questions in German and French; our page for cosmetics brands shows which brands AI names there. The free analysis evaluates your brand with these questions.

How does Shortlisted measure?

With questions as customers ask them instead of keywords, from five intents: best choice, problem, comparison, alternative, where to buy. We query ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity through their official interfaces with web search, plus the Google results page with its AI Overview. We count the share of answers that name a brand (Share of Answer) across many questions and runs, never a single rank, and record the cited sources for every answer. The whole method is public.

Which AI systems matter in Switzerland?

In Switzerland, 67% use ChatGPT, 32% Gemini, 30% Microsoft Copilot and 10% each Claude and Perplexity; 39% turn to AI platforms for shopping advice (IGEM-Digimonitor 2026). On top come the AI Overviews in Google Search. We measure ChatGPT, Google, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity, and Copilot in the audit and ongoing support with manual spot checks.
